Meet Buck

The Dog at the Heart of LB Insurance

Before Buck, I was in a job that left me with little time for what mattered most—my husband, our cats and our dogs. My dogs at the time were aging, and my husband once said to me, “You can’t get another dog—you’re never home.” That comment was a wake-up call.


I realized I wanted more: a career where I could grow, help others, and still have time for the people (and four-legged family) I love. So, I made a change. I left that job, started working in health benefits, and—yes—welcomed Buck into our family.


Buck represents what that change gave me: balance, loyalty, and joy. He reminds me daily why I do what I do. Health insurance can be confusing, but I love helping others navigate it so they can protect what matters most in their lives—just as I chose to protect mine.


That’s why Buck is in my logo. He’s more than a mascot—he’s a symbol of my promise to my family and my clients: to be loyal, dependable, and here when you need me.

I'm Laura Booty, an independent health insurance broker who’s passionate about helping individuals, families, and small businesses make sense of their coverage options. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me outdoors cycling, gardening, skiing or hiking—or at home with my husband, two dogs, two cats, and a tank full of fish. I also enjoy being active in my local community and supporting causes that make a difference.

For the past two years, I’ve had the joy of working alongside Laura Booty in her insurance brokerage. For over 30 years, I’ve built my career around helping people make thoughtful decisions about their health, security, and finances—because I truly care about making a difference in their lives.


My husband and I are blessed with three wonderful daughters, and I’m a proud grandmother to three little ones, with another on the way. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me running, doing Pilates, hiking, or traveling—always moving and exploring. My personal motto is simple: never stop moving.
